Joseph M. Phelon, CBA, BCA, CVA, CMEA

Joseph is a Certified Business Appraiser with more than 17 years of experience appraising businesses and professional practices in a number of states for a variety of purposes including: SBA loans, ownership transfer, merger & acquisition, marital dissolution, economic damages, estate planning, estate tax, litigation support, lost profits, regulatory compliance, and shareholder disputes.

In addition to business valuation services, Joseph has experience appraising machinery & equipment and is a Certified Machinery & Equipment Appraiser.  Types of machinery & equipment appraised include agricultural, construction, landscape, lifts, commercial vehicle fleets, shop, production, manufacturing, support, and material handling equipment. He has more than 35 years of experience in the equipment rental industry which gives him a unique perspective as a machinery & equipment appraiser.

Joseph has held various positions in the private sector including  Director of Finance, Director of Human Resources, Treasurer, General Manager, and Corporate Officer.  He has owned and operates an equipment rental company and a truck rental company.
